After graduating from the Renmin University of China, I worked in sales at Johnson & Johnson Medical. During my time with J&J, I carried out territory marketing analysis and sales planning, organised medical cooperation programmes and reached sales targets with distributors, all of which required good coordination skills. I collaborated with a variety of clients and vendors on many important projects with a high level of motivation. I received the top sales award in both 2010 and 2011.

With this experience of the marketplace, I began to consider reinforcing my abilities and acumen by transferring from sales into marketing or consulting to see the bigger business picture. I chose the HKU MBA programme because it is a good mix: a multiplicity of theoretical business learning disciplines, international business exposure, a great location in a city with a rich business and entrepreneurial heritage, and numerous other distinctive features such as classmates with diverse backgrounds, a mentorship programme and an extensive alumni network. I am convinced that the MBA experience at HKU will provide the critical bridge linking the theoretical and the practical in a balanced way, significantly broadening my horizons.
