Anvesh Budharaju

The name ‘Anvesh’ means investigation, and since childhood I have lived up to this name. I am a curious person and a problem solver, which is why I chose the career path I did. I grew up in Kakinada, India, and graduated from JNTU Kakinada with a degree in Petrochemical Engineering.

I currently work as Assistant Manager – Business Development, Polymers at Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Previously, I was part of a circular economy project where I created a supply chain system to collect used plastic and recycle it. I view this as my greatest career accomplishment to date, and am proud of the project’s contribution to reducing plastic menace and reusing plastics of packaging.

I made the decision to study for an MBA because I wanted to learn business acumen and interact with people from different cultures. I also wanted to expand my horizons in order to become a global leader and solution provider.

Post-MBA, I wish to transition into a role which impacts the public and society. Ideally, I would like a career in sustainability and climate change. I’m a tech-savvy person, and with my prior experience in the energy industry, I want to help firms and communities achieve their sustainable goals and create impact, ultimately, making the world a better place.
