Having a successful career has always been my aspiration and priority. After graduating from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, I was fortunate enough to set off on my career path as a retail operation management trainee for a world renowned designer brand. After working for two of the largest global retail luxury brands for over 10 years and gaining a fair amount of success, I realized that I should not be complacent about my present status but should undertake further study for self-enhancement and improvement. I realized that my business knowledge, which is rather confined to the retail industry, would not suffice for a further breakthrough in my performance if I wanted to scale new heights of success in my career. Thus, embarking on a MBA programme, I believed, would better enable me to equip myself in meeting today’s increasingly dynamic and challenging business environment.
Studying a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in the University of Hong Kong has undoubtedly taken me out of my comfort zone. It helps polish up already acquired knowledge and enables me to learn new skills and receive a proliferation of innovative ideas through brain storming and the discussions in class on case studies/ projects and other exercises. The experienced professors and the high calibre students are great sources of knowledge that I can draw on to help broaden my horizon and boost self-confidence. Taking up the MBA programme at the University of Hong Kong is a decision which anyone who is seeking to add value to his or her career will never regret.
