I am Rui Xu, an engineer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. Born and raised in China, my engineering journey began at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Michigan, where I obtained my bachelor’s degrees before pursuing a Master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. I started my career in EXA Corporation, a leading developer of computer-aided engineering software company in the United States, as an application engineer.  Later, the company was acquired by Dassault Systèmes. Prior to pursuing my MBA, I held the position of Software Engineer III at Trimble Inc.

One of my proudest accomplishments in my career thus far is the development of a simulation software, DigitalRock, an unprecedented and valuable solution for Oil and Gas industry through digital transformation. The innovative software has provided a user-friendly, web-based platform for accurate data analysis and seamless navigation, and has significantly reduced the operation cost compared to traditional methods.

While my engineering career has been fulfilling, I have great interest in business outside of my professional realm. This realisation has led me to pursue an MBA, with the goal of enhancing my business knowledge, expanding my professional network, and developing leadership abilities. I am thrilled about the opportunity to combine my engineering expertise with business acumen, building an all-rounded skill set that will take me to a new level in my career.
