I grew up in Jaipur, India, and graduated from Rajasthan University, India, as a Chartered Accountant. I work in the FinTech industry, and my goal is to take care of the business needs of company founders. Prior to joining the HKU MBA Programme, I was the Regional Finance Director at Surfin (Kuai Kuai Belt & Road Pte Ltd).
To date, I would say that my biggest career accomplishment is the handling of accounting & finance functions and production financial statements while overlooking FinTech product developments of multiple FinTech startups. I did this single handedly without any guidance. It is my biggest achievement because it has given me immense confidence that I can self-learn and deliver results with zero tolerance without depending on any external help.
It was my eagerness to learn that led me to pursue an MBA at this point in my career. Specifically, I want to learn how new FinTech products can promote financial inclusiveness to help emerging economies in Southeast Asia, especially in times of distress. I care deeply about emerging economies and would like to help and contribute to innovative companies that are working to improve the lives of people in developing nations. I understand that my current skills are limited to managing finance functions, and that is why I wish to improve my skill set, so that I can help founders of early age startups scale their companies beyond their domestic geography.
Just like I know how to launch foreign companies in India, I wish to help scale companies in foreign markets as well, especially in emerging markets of Southeast Asia. My goal, after graduating from HKU Business School with my MBA, is to help more and more founders take novel innovations to as many people as possible in developing countries.
