I am Qili Liu, originally from Qingyuan, China. Before pursuing my MBA, I held the position of Operations Manager at Wider Financial Services Corp. As an Operations Manager in a startup company, my focus was on creating an empowering environment that allowed team members to excel in their roles. Even after leaving my position, I have maintained close connections with my former team members, receiving heartwarming feedback on the operational procedures I implemented. I firmly believe that the greatest accomplishment lies not only in numbers but also in the transformative impact and strong bonds forged within a team.
The concept of “falling leaves returning to their roots” deeply resonates with me. After spending approximately 8 years abroad, pursuing education and gaining valuable work experience, I strongly feel that it is time for me to return to my homeland and embark on a new journey of exploration. The desire for change, the constant drive to challenge myself, and the pursuit of personal growth have led me to the HKU MBA programme.
The MBA programme goes beyond academic studies; it is designed to facilitate personal growth and self-discovery. I have high expectations that this programme will equip me with the necessary technical business knowledge and provide a deeper understanding of the Hong Kong, Greater Bay Area, China, and Asian markets. Additionally, I hope to develop greater resilience to effectively tackle any challenges that may arise after completing my MBA. For me, the MBA is not the final destination that immediately propels one to the next level; rather, it serves as a starting point for continuous growth and advancement.
