I am Ori Rubinstein, originally from Israel. My professional background revolves around technology sales and business development, with a focus on cyber security for critical infrastructure and AI software for robotics in manufacturing and logistics.

Ever since I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong and China immediately after completing my military service, I have been captivated by the unique and authentic nature of Hong Kong. I believe it is an exceptional place to be. When considering universities in Hong Kong, I recognized that HKU is the premier institution, and I knew it was the right fit for me. As an expat living here, I find the experience to be incredibly enriching. There is a wealth of knowledge to acquire, and I have the opportunity to meet individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

In terms of my career aspirations, I aim to continue my work in international technology, focusing on business development and sales. Hong Kong, being a prominent trade hub and increasingly emphasizing technology for economic growth, presents an ideal opportunity for me to contribute in technology sales. I bring a unique perspective with my cultural understanding, language proficiency, and the valuable experience gained from working in Israel. I envision myself thriving and advancing in this field while being based in Hong Kong.

In my observation, people in Hong Kong tend to be more inclined towards taking risks and are open to experimentation and innovation. This dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit is both inspiring and stimulating.
