I arrived in Hong Kong 11 years ago as an exchange student to complete my MSc in Industrial Engineering.
I spent the first stage of my professional career in an SME, in a very multi-cultural environment. Our production was located in China and Taiwan, while our customers where all over Europe, USA, South America and Asia.
In 2013, I got the opportunity to become a full time athlete with the Hong Kong Sports Institute and decided to put my business life on hold for a while with the objective of going to the Rio Olympics in 2016, representing Hong Kong in the Rugby 7s.
Taking the HKU part time MBA is a perfect balance to my sport and a good way for me to keep in touch with the business world. It is very enriching to meet people with different backgrounds and experiences. I thoroughly enjoy the in-class discussions as well as the out- of-class gatherings. Some group projects can be challenging but I am convinced that they have helped my management and problem solving skills tremendously.
