Ms. Virginia Morris is a Board Member of the English Schools Foundation, the Board Chair for Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (HK special needs school), a previous Board Member for KELY Support Group, a Mentor for The Women’s Foundation, a University of Hong Kong Mentor for Undergraduates and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance.

Virginia inspires leaders to make a positive impact with her energy and curiosity. She is a leadership strategist, passionate about developing sustainable global leaders. She is an accomplished leadership strategist, entrepreneur, executive coach and facilitator working with executives and senior teams globally. She is a results and customer-focused leader with 20 years direct Asia Pacific experience in strategic management across multiple industries.

After 15 years managing and growing some of the world’s largest corporate brands, in 2009 she created Bamboo Difference, bringing leadership development and social responsibility together. She currently develops leaders who are committed to profitability and long-term sustainability for their companies, the communities in which they operate and their own personal well-being.

Virginia brings a unique combination of coaching, facilitation, consulting and an extensive corporate marketing background spanning several industries, including retail, food and beverage, airlines, publishing, government and tourism.

As a senior marketing executive of over 17 years, Virginia has executed global brands across local geographies, balancing the need for a consistent global brand voice with one that is locally relevant in Asia. Talent development, commercial imperatives and stakeholder engagement have featured as key components of her career success.

Virginia has extensively applied her business acumen and coaching abilities to develop and manage teams across global geographies and cultures. Her ability to work effectively across cultures stems from this experience and her linguistic abilities in Japanese, Cantonese and English.

Virginia is the creator of two online campuses, offering practical resources on how to be an effective, resilient leader in any organisation – big or small. They are packed with powerful tools, quick steps, and how-to tips on navigating your career, being effective and sustaining energy and motivation.

Virginia has held senior global and Asia Pacific regional positions with Starbucks Coffee International, The Economist Group, Eye Corp, Air New Zealand, Ansett Australia, Tourism Australia and Cunard Line.
Virginia’s current clients include BlackRock, Cathay Pacific, Edelman Public Relations, FTI Consulting, Hotel Jen, HSBC, Methanex, Société Générale, Swire Group, Uniplan and Veolia.

Academic and Professional Qualifications
