Mentor: Harjeet Baura, Partner, PwC, Hong Kong

Mr. Harjeet Baura, Partner at PwC Hong Kong, is my mentor. Because of his background and extensive experience, he brought an additional perspective to my understanding about the digital ecosystem and APAC market.

From him, I learned how to effectively utilize existing skills to our strength, strategize the job hunt process, and establish long-term professional relationships within the industry.  Harjeet also shared learnings from his vast experience. I was introduced to him, while my internship at PwC was going on. His insights and suggestions helped me further establish my network at PwC.

These learnings came at the right time for me, mainly for my job search. I’m now clearer with my goals and self-positioning to prospective employers. These skills are also helping me create strong relationships within the industry. Moreover, he not only prepared me for the next role that I will take up post-MBA, but for my entire career. He shared his learnings about how he is managing his clients during COVID-19 and how he is still able to deliver value, even in tough conditions. It’s an amazing experience to have him as a mentor.
