Mentor: Mr. Andrew Hexter, Vice President and General Manager at Gilead Sciences

I was very lucky and privileged to have been assigned Andrew Hexter, Vice President and General Manager at Gilead Sciences in Hong Kong, as my mentor.

Being new to Hong Kong, Andrew has helped me to prepare for my future career in the APAC region with his constant guidance and coaching. From our first meeting, we instantly bonded over our common connection to the healthcare industry, and it has been incredibly helpful to have someone who understands my previous work experience and how to best leverage it into a new career path. 

Throughout the mentorship programme, Andrew has been gracious to provide me valuable insights and strategies on how to best navigate the job search process and approach interview settings. His willingness to share his professional network has not only given me the chance to connect with industry leaders for experience sharing, but also taught me how to build off of these connections to further expand my own network.
