Full-time MBA Programme Structure
The full-time MBA offers an intensive 1-year programme featuring three tracks: the London track, New York track, and Hong Kong/China track. Our Asia-Pacific and China focus gives students a unique advantage in shaping their careers towards becoming successful leaders, both regionally and internationally. The programme structure comprises 10 Core Courses and 6 Elective Courses, providing a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum.
A series of Executive Development Workshops are incorporated, designed to foster a unique and engaging learning experience while honing essential soft skills.
August - SEPTEMBER
Orientation and Induction Programme
- Introduction to the HKU MBA experience, and meet your classmates and alumni through a series of networking events.
- Equip you with all necessary career skills in our series of career-related activities including professional development workshops, personal coaching, and recruitment guides.
- 2 Executive Development Workshops will be conducted in term 1 to enhance your soft skills, including 1) High Performing Teams and Collaboration Skills, and 2) Business Communication and Presentation Skills.
Foundation Core Courses
- Build your core skills with our fundamental core courses covering Accounting and Economics.
- Take electives together with our part-time students and choose from a pool of MBA electives or electives offered by other taught Masters Programmes of the Faculty.
OCTOBER - DECEMBER
Functional Core Courses
Sharpen essential skills every global manager needs with our core courses on Finance, Marketing, Digital Innovation, Business Ethics and Analytics.
Take electives together with our part-time students and choose from a pool of MBA electives or electives offered by other taught Masters Programmes of the Faculty.
JANUARY - MARCH
Strategy Core Courses and Capstone Project
- Integrate the knowledge gained from the previous 2 semesters and culminate with the Capstone Project.
- Sharpen important skills global managers needs with our core courses on Competitive Strategy, Analytics, Global Economy and Capstone Project.
- 2 Executive Development Workshops will be conducted in term 3 to enhance your soft skills, including 1) Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills, and 2) Building Your Leadership Presence and Personal Brand.
MARCH - AUSGUST
Finish the rest of the elective courses at the chosen tracks
Depending on the track you choose, finish the rest of your electives at The University of Hong Kong or at our partner schools: London Business School, Columbia Business School, or Fudan University.
Completion in July/August | Graduation in November
