Corporate Partnership Project
Key benefits of the project
The Corporate Partnership Project is tailored to each students’ interests and career aspirations, with both part-time internship and full-time job opportunities available.
- turning the corporate project idea as per individual’s interest and career aspiration into reality
- getting internship and full-time job opportunities
- acquiring practical local market knowledge and building professional network
- engaging in-depth with local and regional organisations
- formulating and implementing project management strategies in real business world
The Corporate Partnership Project is made possible through the connections and partnerships HKU MBA office has with local and regional organisations in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Students that choose to take part in this project will be exposed to real-world business and mentorship experiences by directly interacting and working with corporate professionals at their selected company. They will gain practical local market knowledge and expand their networks while working as a team to manage end-to-end projects, developing strategies and finding solutions for the organisation’s given objectives.
This initiative is extremely beneficial to MBA students. It allows participants to apply the knowledge and skills they have learnt from the programme to daily dynamic operation and business scenarios, while at the same time receiving feedback from the companies on their performance and areas of improvement.

Class of 2024
We were honoured and excited to have collaborated with Kimberly Clark, REAP and Gammon for last year’s Corporate Partnership Project.
From ESG to FinTech to Agility, the projects challenged the participants to approach different business functionalities and objectives, including market expansion research, analytics-based project management and process optimisation, as well as marketing and branding strategy.
Operating in groups, students were encouraged to collaborate with classmates from diverse professional backgrounds, each offering different expertise and market insights to the projects, as well as to learn directly from working with business professionals of the corporate partners in solving real-world business challenges.
Class of 2023
The HKU MBA Programme has successfully kicked off the student projects in partnership with five different corporations, including AXA Insurance, BCW, Nan Fung Group, Irostors, and CLP. Each project group comprised 4-8 full-time students, who alternated academic study with this practical and hands-on experience. The project assignments used the most up-to-date business themes and topics: ESG, Sustainability, Web3, Metaverse, and Business Strategy. Successful students were given an internship opportunity with the certificate upon completion. We appreciated long-lasting relationships with our corporate partners.
