In the latest group activity of the China Immersion Programme, our full-time students had the opportunity to visit the High-Speed Rail at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. Caxton Chan, Assistant Manager of the Operations Works Planning Department at MTR Corporation, hosted the 2-hour event for students where they learned about the real operation of the cross-boundary high-speed train services.

Caxton shared information on the development and achievements of the transportation system, along with its strategic operation and the implementation of the co-location arrangement. Students were also able to visit the control room during his guided tour. It was a truly enriching learning experience which gave participants a deeper understanding of the MTR operation – specifically regarding the transportation and business development of the Greater Bay Area.
