HKU MBA International Field Trip to Italy

HKU MBA International Field Trip to Italy

Our part-time MBA students recently embarked on an immersive international field trip to Italy, exploring the dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems of Turin and Milan. Led by Professor Roni Michaely of the HKU-TLV Innovation Hub, this experience offered our students unique opportunities to uncover new perspectives on global business and entrepreneurship.

In Turin, our students were granted a behind-the-scenes look at the city’s innovation landscape. From cutting-edge accelerators nurturing the next generation of startups to game-changing female founders disrupting their industries, our students were inspired by the boundless creativity and ambition on display. Through hands-on workshops and discussions, they gained invaluable insights into the keys to success in this rapidly evolving ecosystem. The students also enjoyed lectures on EU Monetary Policy, expanding their understanding of the broader economic landscape.

In Milan, our students were tasked with tackling a real business challenge for a leading Retail Apparel and Fashion company. Immersed in the heart of the global fashion capital, our students applied their analytical skills and business acumen to devise innovative solutions, seamlessly blending their classroom knowledge with practical, real-world experience. In between their business activities, the students had the opportunity to indulge in the local cuisine, with a delightful experience of pasta-making, and also visited cultural landmarks that showcased Milan’s rich heritage.

As our part-time MBA students return, they do so with renewed energy, expanded networks, and a deeper understanding of the transformative power of entrepreneurship and global business. We are grateful to Professor Michaely and the HKU-TLV Innovation Hub for organising this unforgettable journey, and we look forward to seeing how our students leverage these insights to shape their future success.
