I worked in research and development in the food industry before coming to HKU for my MBA. My work responsibility was primarily product oversight from concept to market. I learnt about marketing and management during my time in the food industry, which was a good place to learn but not the most effective. I thus decided to further my education by studying for an MBA. I believe that this programme will provide me with a theoretical perspective and a framework for understanding the business side of an industry. In the future, I hope to start up my own food business. It is certain that the MBA coursework and internships and my background in food technology will complement each other to help me realise my dream.
