The Executive Vice President and Regional CEO – Asia and Global Sourcing at Walmart, Mr. Dirk Van den Berghe, delivered a Leadership Talk entitled “Walmart – Our Evolving Strategies in Asia” on 21 January 2020. The talk drew active and lively participation from our students and alumni. Mr. Van den Berghe, who has 30 years of international leadership experience across Europe, Asia and North America, is responsible for driving and leading the business growth and development in China, Japan and India, while also overseeing Walmart’s sourcing offices in 20 countries. He spoke about Walmart’s journey overall and how he has been working to strengthen and grow the business by adapting to each local market and leveraging an omnichannel strategy to make shopping with Walmart more convenient.
