Why are you a mentor for HKU MBA students?

Education and mentorship are very important. As an alumnus of HKU and now work in a global private equity firm, I am grateful for having many good mentors in my career journey. I have strong passion in sharing my PE and asset management working experience with our young generation and coaching them on their career development and personal growth.

How has your experience been working with your mentee?

My mentees’ proactiveness and good attitude really impressed me. Their eagerness for developing their career and building industry network are important and appreciated. I enjoyed the interactions with them very much and happy to share more about my industry experience.

 What is your biggest satisfaction from the mentorship programme?

The HKU Mentorship Programme is very successful and provides a good platform to connect mentees with mentors from different industry. I enjoy sharing my experience with my mentees and enjoy hearing their thoughts as well. The current industry and job markets are very challenging. Sharing my career journey, industry network and advice with my mentees, I found this is very meaningful and inspiring.
