HKU Welcome Day for Part-time MBA (GBA mode) Students
HKUBS was delighted to welcome 200 students, from the 2024 intake of the HKU Part-time MBA (GBA mode), to the iconic Loke Yew Hall for an inspiring Welcome Day.
The day kicked off with the much-anticipated announcement of class representatives, and cheers filled the hall as each name was called, setting an energetic tone for the day. This was followed by an engaging class performance that showcased the diverse talents and dynamics of our students. Leveraging AI, they created impressive class videos, songs, and logos, highlighting their innovation and creativity.
A key highlight was the seminar by Prof. Marcus Schuetz on “Management Careers for STEM and Arts Backgrounds.” He offered profound insights into career planning across various fields, emphasising the importance of positioning one’s skills and embracing challenges to achieve success.
Our full-time student-led club committees also took the stage to introduce the different clubs, encouraging cross-programme collaboration and resource sharing, fostering a strong sense of community and teamwork.
Students also enjoyed a guided tour of the HKU campus, where they deepened their understanding of its rich heritage. Each building, with its unique history, further enhanced their appreciation for this century-old institution.
The event concluded with a cocktail networking session, bringing together our full-time, part-time, and GBA mode students.
We can’t wait to see how our students connect and grow together this year while making the most of their MBA experience.
