The innovation and technology sector (I&T) is a key growth area in Hong Kong, as the city aims to transform into a world-class tech hub to drive sustainable economic growth.

The Career Development & Training team organised a visit to Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks to give students a better understanding of the opportunities in Hong Kong’s I&T sector. The visit began with Mr Sammi Wong and his team giving an overview of HKSTP Ventures, explaining how the fund works and the support it provides to companies at different stages of incubation. This was followed by a visit to the HKSTP Experience Centre where students explored the Park’s ecosystem through immersive techart.

Aside from learning about HKSTP’s work, students were also given opportunities to visit two leading tech companies based in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Quantum AI Lab provided a deep dive into the discovery of next-generation materials, while SenseTime gave students a look into the future of AI-powered solutions and experiences.
