After growing up in Hong Kong, I decided to study abroad at Monash University, Australia, where I graduated with a degree in pharmacy. Today, I work as a Primary Care Category Lead at Pfizer Corporation, Hong Kong.
I am a registered preceptor under the Pharmacy & Poison Board in supervising newly graduated pharmacy students during their pre-registration internship. Over the years, I have cultivated many pharmacists who are now serving our patients and contributing to the society – I would say this is my greatest and proudest career accomplishment.
This year, I moved from medical affairs (which I had worked in most of my career) to the commercial sector as a category lead. This is why I have decided to study for an MBA: it’s the perfect time for me to acquire business knowledge which can be applied to my new role.
I hope studying for an MBA helps me gain a deeper understanding in areas such as accounting and marketing, etc., which I can apply to my new role. I also hope to meet, learn from, and inspire my classmates from different educational and career backgrounds.
