About Me:
I am originally from the UK and currently leading a team of data professionals within HSBC’s Corporate Real Estate division – supporting my function to manage the bank’s global property portfolio. My position within HSBC enables me to operate cross functionally to help evolve the bank’s corporate real estate strategy. I have over 9 years of experience in data & analytics, leading projects and teams in various sectors, to deliver advanced analytics solutions to derive valuable insights and to improve strategic execution.
My academic background complements my professional experience. I hold a Quantitative Finance degree from Imperial College Business School, where I gained expertise in research on equity markets using Python libraries. My undergraduate degree in Physics, further strengthened my analytical skills and understanding of scientific methodologies. This foundation has enabled me to develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, standards, and controls for optimal insights. My knowledge in this area was enhanced through the “Applied Machine Learning” course at Columbia Engineering University, which provided practical insights into machine learning models and methods. Additionally, the Fintech course at NUS Business School broadened my understanding of the FinTech landscape, focusing on digitalization and innovation within the finance sector.
Aspiration for MBA:
I am a strong believer in gradually transforming the company I serve into a data-first company, promoting the data culture and in turn enabling others to make better strategic decisions through data & analytics. This MBA programme will equip me with the business acumen and enhanced soft skills necessary to accelerate this transformation.
I believe this part-time MBA programme suits me well as it maximizes the flexibility to balance work-study life, allowing me to seamlessly integrate my studies with my work commitments.
