I am Kayi Meng, originally from Mainland China. I am a self-motivated and goal-oriented individual with a strong passion for carving out my own career path. Prior to pursuing an MBA, I held the position of Assistant Manager at KPMG. During my time there, I successfully obtained the full CPA license after three years of practical experience in a Big 4 firm. Through internal rotations, I gained exposure to different tax teams, which contributed to my promotion to the role of Assistant Manager.
An MBA has always been a lifelong goal for me. I aspire to view the business world from a broader perspective beyond financial and taxation aspects. I seek opportunities for personal growth and the chance to establish valuable connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
When selecting an MBA programme, the structure of the courses offered plays a pivotal role in my decision-making process. I am keen to explore what I can learn and achieve within a one-year programme. Additionally, scholarship opportunities and the strength of alumni connections are also significant factors that I consider.
Post-MBA, my aim is to successfully transition from the traditional accounting industry to more dynamic sectors such as consulting, private equity, or financial advisory. I am excited about the prospect of exploring new industries and applying my skills and knowledge in exciting and challenging roles.
