My Biggest Career Accomplishment:

My biggest accomplishment has been leading the firm’s business development strategy and representing the firm in strategic discussions across multiple practice areas in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. In this role, I cultivated and managed relationships with over 500 clients from diverse industries, including start-ups, family-owned businesses, and minority-led enterprises.

Aspiration for Pursuing an MBA:

As I planned my relocation back to Hong Kong, I saw this as the right moment to pursue an MBA to strengthen both my hard and soft skills and support my career transition. The HKU MBA programme offers a strong professional network, diverse cultural exposure, executive workshops, and excellent coaching sessions that I need to successfully pivot into a new career.

Why HKU MBA:

I prioritised several key factors, with geographic location being one of the most important. My goal is to transition my career to Asia, and Hong Kong stood out as an ideal choice due to its strategic position in the region and its strong focus on the Asian market. Beyond location, I placed high importance on the programme’s ability to support my career transition, its strong professional network, its diversity, and its practical learning opportunities that can be applied to real-world business challenges.

I considered several top MBA programmes in Asia, but HKU stood out to me because its strong focus on the Asian market and its emphasis on diversity align closely with my career goals as I transition back to Hong Kong. The HKU MBA also offers access to a highly engaged and diverse professional network, which I believe will be instrumental in helping me build the next chapter of my career.

My Expectations After Completing the MBA:

After completing the MBA, I expect to step into a more strategically oriented role where I can tackle complex, real-world challenges using the skills, knowledge, and perspectives I have gained. I also look forward to leveraging the diverse and supportive professional network developed during the programme, not only for career development but also for exchanging perspectives that inspire long-term growth.
