After growing up in Hong Kong, I decided to study abroad at the University of British Columbia in Canada, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in management. Now, I work at International Planning Group Insurance Brokers Ltd. as New Business Manager.

In this role, I had the opportunity to participate in creating a Target Operating Model for a new product to satisfy the company’s audit requirement. I worked with different departments, such as the finance, compliance and legal teams, to seek their input regarding best practice. After multiple reviews with the legal team, the Target Operating Model was approved and the requirements for launching the new product were satisfied. I would say this is my greatest career accomplishment to date.

After working in the insurance industry for many years, I am ready to take on new challenges. This is why I have decided to study for an MBA at HKU Business School. I want to gain access to new opportunities that will enhance my personal and professional development in order to work in a larger scope of business. I believe an MBA will be a great stepping stone to reach the next chapter of my career.

By studying for an MBA, I hope to fine-tune my critical thinking skills and apply this to my job. I am an easygoing, open-minded team player and I look forward to networking with classmates from different cultures and backgrounds, learning from each other, and sharing our thoughts.
