Chinese New Year Celebration 2025

The current cohort of Full-time MBA students came together for a joyous Chinese New Year celebration last Saturday.

Students dressed in red attire or traditional Chinese costumes, adding to the festive ambiance. In the evening, they enjoyed a sumptuous feast of traditional Chinese dishes and exchanged red packets filled with words of blessings and good wishes, similar to the idea of fortune cookies. The gesture of sharing these red packets symbolised goodwill and fostered a sense of togetherness.

For students who had returned home during the Chinese New Year holiday, this gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and share with classmates stories about how they celebrated in their hometown. It was a joy to hear about the diverse ways the festival was celebrated across different cultures and traditions. International students also enjoyed this valuable chance to immerse themselves in the Chinese culture and traditions, embracing diversity within the MBA community.

We were honoured to have Associate Dean, Prof. Echo Wan, and Programme Director, Prof. Weiming Zhu joined the festivities, adding a special touch to the celebration. A special thanks to the class representatives for organising this memorable event. Stay tuned for more exciting events and celebrations throughout the year!
