My name is Kristy Yip, a native of Hong Kong. I am excited to be part of the HKU MBA community. Prior to my MBA journey, I worked as a Senior Consultant at PwC, providing operations excellence solutions to companies from different industries. I also drove digital transformation and developed cutting-edge technology solutions for financial institutions.

Aspirations for Pursuing an MBA

After completing my bachelor’s degree in Information Management from HKU during the pandemic, I felt a strong desire to further my academic journey with a master’s degree. During my tenure as a consultant, I realized my passion for being a strategic consultant specialising in digital transformation rather than a generalist consultant. This sparked my decision to pursue an MBA, as I am convinced that this programme will equip me with the necessary skills and expertise to elevate my career trajectory.

Upon completing my MBA, my goal is to transition from a generalist consultant to a specialised management consultant. I look forward to applying the skills, knowledge, and insights I have acquired to advance my career. I believe that the relationships built through the MBA network will continue to bring valuable connections and opportunities for years to come.
