I belong to an Indian family with traditional values and have always been taught to be sincere and dedicated to my job. I am an engineer by education but my ambition and determination to achieve something unique beyond the job has led me to take the MBA course to become a more rounded personality.

What I bring to the programme is an enriching package of experiences which includes software delivery and consulting from a service industry – Capgemini (Client: HSBC) and vendor management and outsourcing expertise from a bank – Barclays. My work transition from programmer to senior consultant and then to delivery lead has enabled me to gain managerial skills and solid business and technical acumen.

Solely understanding technology or major business problems does not provide in-depth working knowledge of an organisation. HKU MBA will expose me to all facets of business enabling me, for example, to understand effective marketing practices as well as the intricacies of financial aspects of organisations.

Hong Kong, the financial nerve of Asia, provides a unique confluence of east and west culture and business perspectives. I am very excited to be part of this vibrant and fast paced city and taking the best in class business education right at the heart of emerging markets. I have carefully chosen HKU as it has the right ensemble of students from different regions with an unmatched perspective. I wish to further my experience in the Asian market leveraging my prior expertise and I am sure, with a strong alumni network, HKU will provide me with an excellent head start in pursuing a successful career in Consulting and Strategy development.

The China Immersion programme and Career Development Office workshops have been key highlights up to now. They have given me an invaluable and diverse experience that will have a tremendous impact on my professional and personal development.
