My name is Jess Wei, I am from mainland China and went to America for high school and college. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications from Emerson College I started to work for a global supplement business as a brand manager intern. The company offered me a position in Shanghai to continue my journey in marketing and brand management. I then joined a top dairy group and brought brand building experiences to the business to support their rapid growth. My scope of work covers marketing communications, brand management and public relations.

Gaining an MBA degree was always on my mind. After some years of hands-on experience, I decided to apply to an MBA programme to accelerate my career growth in a holistic business landscape. I believe the HKU Business School will help me strengthen my overall business acumen, specifically due to the programme’s strong Asia focus.

I am currently seeking to gain more understanding of finance, business strategy and artificial intelligence. The HKU MBA programme provides good learning opportunities through a variety of electives and is a good platform for me to get to know people from other industries. I have developed valuable friendships through this programme’s networks.
